Bus service proposal: route 641

Closed 9 Jul 2017

Opened 15 Jun 2017

The London bus network is kept under regular review. As part of this, we develop proposals for changes to services.

We have developed proposals for route 641 and would like to hear your views.

Route 641 (West Molesey to Teddington School)

The 641 currently runs between West Molesey and Teddington School, Broom Road with one journey towards Teddington School, Broom Road in the morning and one towards West Molesey in the afternoon. The route mainly serves Teddington School.

Although there are around 58 trips per day made on the 641, most of these (around 60 per cent) are between Teddington School and Hampton Wick. These trips can either be made by walking around 900 metres or by using high frequency routes 281 and 285 which can be picked up on the Kingston Road and are around 650 metres from the school. There are also a small number or trips made through to West Molesey in the afternoon. These can be made by interchanging at Hampton Wick for route 411.

Therefore following a review and to make better use of our resources we are proposing that from 21 July 2017 route 641 would no longer run.

There would be no changes to routes 281, 285 or 411.

Subject to the outcome of consultation the changes would take place on 21 July 2017
