Results Updated 30 May 2012

Following requests to improve bus connections at Rainham Station and for improved links to Queen’s Hospital in Romford,Transport for London (TfL) recently consulted on proposals to extend route 103 from Rainham War Memorial to serve Rainham Interchange and to divert route 128 along Rom Valley Way to the Queen’s Hospital to help improve access and links to the hospital.

After carefully considering all responses, we plan to go ahead with the changes as proposed.

We are planning to introduce the changes to route 103 from early autumn 2012 and for route 128 from 9 June 2012.

We would like to thank you for your contributions to this consultation.

Overview

The London bus network is kept under regular review. As part of this, we develop proposals for changes to services.

Why we consulted

We developed proposals for routes 103 and 128 and asked for your views.

Route 103 (Rainham – North Romford)

Route 103 runs between Rainham, War Memorial and North Romford, Chase Cross every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 20 minutes Sundays and all evenings.

London Borough (LB) of Havering and London TravelWatch (LTW) requested that the route be extended to Rainham Station to serve the new interchange giving improved bus and rail connections.

We proposed to extend route 103 from Rainham War Memorial to serve Rainham Interchange.

Route 128 (Claybury Broadway – Romford Station) (24 hour service)

Route 128 is a 24 hour service between Claybury Broadway and Romford Station every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 20 minutes during Sundays and all evenings and every 30 minutes at night.  We have improved links to Queen’s Hospital in Romford.

We proposed to reroute the 128 to run via Rom Valley Way and the Queen’s Hospital, then continuing to Romford town centre and station as now.
