Results Updated 12 Nov 2010

We recently consulted on a possible change to route 295 near Wandsworth roundabout and Clapham Junction. After considering responses, have decided not to go ahead with this change.

  • Respondents thought that although a change to the 295 may make the journey easier, it would not fully meet the request
  • Bus users would still have to change buses mid-route
  • Concerns about service reduction on York and Plough Roads

Overview

The London bus network is kept under regular review. As part of this, we develop proposals for changes to services.

Why We Are Consulting

We have developed proposals for route 295 and would like to hear your views.

Proposed changes

We are considering a possible change to route 295 around Wandsworth roundabout and Clapham Junction, in order to improve cross-river bus services around Trinity Road.

  • Route 295 buses could be diverted along Trinity Road, East Hill and St Johns Hill instead of York Road and Plough Lane
  • A new bus stop would need to be put in on Woodwell Street. This would enable interchange between route 219 and 295 towards Fulham
  • Route 295 would no longer serve Plough Road and York Road. Routes C3, 44 and N44 would continue to serve York Road and route C3 would continue to serve Plough Lane
  • From Fulham, people wanting to change between the 295 and 219 towards Trinity Road would change from stop B on the map to stop SE
