Consultation

Local and strategic stakeholders were invited to participate in the consultation, which took place between 11 February and 15 March 2011. Submissions continued to be accepted and given consideration after this date.

Our decision

Having given full consideration to the feedback provided by respondents and to the traffic data collected, we confirmed in January 2012 that we intended to remove these signals, with full details of the findings from the trial and consultation being contained in the Consultation Report published simultaneously.  However, following further review, TfL amended its decision and announced, on 19 March 2012, that the signals were to be retained.
