Section 8

  • As in section 7, building out the kerb at the Godstone Road junction with Station Road would improve visibility, making it safer to enter and exit the junction
  • The red route parking bay would move along Godstone Road by approximately one vehicle length, with no reduction to parking spaces
  • The red route parking controls outside Kenley Memorial Hall would be restricted a one hour limited stay between the hours of 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday (see section 8)
  • The existing cycle lane would then restart after the parking bay
  • Double red lines would be introduced throughout this section of Godstone Road, linking up with the existing double red lines between it’s junctions with Station Road and Waterbourne Way

Section 9

  • Double red lines would continue further into Waterbourne Way, joining up with the existing double yellow lines to prevent parking too close to the junction
  • Double red lines would also replace the existing red route controls on both sides of the road towards the Kenley Treatment Works industrial park

It would not be possible to park where double red lines are introduced.
